Congratulations to Steve Yzerman, who was inducted into the NHL Hall of Fame last week.  Everyone knows that I am a fan of Yzerman.  But, I am a fan not because of his 692 goals, 1063 assists, and three Stanley Cups with the Detroit Red Wings.  Those things help of course.  But it is how he prepared for his job those 23 years that impress me the most.   

It was his determination to always do his best. He overcame years of failure, adversity and injuries.  He always worked hard to be the best he could be. He loved his family and shared his success with them and with his fellow workers (players).   

We can all do what Stevie Y did in our jobs.  We can “ Bring it” every day folks.  Make it happen for you and your business.  Do your best at all times.  This is how you can be the best you can be too.   In our business we fail often.  But, we keep trying harder and working to be our best.  Some day when my career is over, I want to say, I did my best every day.
